This cupcake is comprised of Oreo cake topped with Oreo buttercream and half an Oreo cookie for decoration. It exudes a subtle, sweet smell of Oreos.
The cake was soft and tasted like sweet vanilla with a subtle Oreo aftertaste. The time-lapse Oreo flavor took about five seconds to appear. The frosting was thick, creamy, and buttery with a crumbled cookie texture. It tasted exactly like someone blended a vat of Oreo creme filling with a couple of chocolate cookies. Yum!
The frosting added some moisture to the crumbly cake, helping to hold it together. It also added some sweetness to the mildly sweet flavor of the cake. Softened by the buttercream, the Oreo cookie decoration added a chewy burst of Oreo flavor to the cupcake. Overall this cupcake tasted primarily like vanilla cake topped with Oreo filling frosting -- the chocolate aspect of the Oreo flavor was very muted, only noticeable as a fleeting aftertaste.
Both the Cookies and Cream and The Original cupcakes were good, but couldn't come close to matching the high standard set by the Strawberry Delight and What's Up Doc. We did eat these last two cupcakes about eight and sixteen hours after we purchased them, while we ate the first two immediately at the store. I wonder if the quality of the cupcakes diminished during the wait. (We did keep them in a cool, air conditioned environment.) I guess we'll have to go back to Cupcake Station sometime and try them fresh!

This cute little pink cupcake was comprised of strawberry cake topped with strawberry buttercream decorated with a single slice of strawberry. The cake was super moist and cool with a refreshing taste of fresh real strawberries. Delicious! The cupcake was served fresh from the refrigerated display case and the cool temperature of the cake felt nice in my mouth. Unlike many cakes which get stiff and dry when refrigerated, this cupcake had no such weakness.
The frosting was like thick silk; cool, smooth and sweet with the same delicious flavor of real strawberries. The textures of the frosting and cake blended exceptionally well, creating a sweet, refreshing strawberry concoction. The frosting to cake ratio was perfect. Unlike many strawberry cupcakes which taste syrupy sweet and artificial, this cupcake was 100% real. It was like a little piece of heaven -- easily the best strawberry cupcake I've ever had. I typically despise strawberry flavored food, but I loved this cupcake.

-1189309222.jpg) Don't let this cupcake's classic appearance fool you -- it'll knock your socks off! The What's Up Doc consists of carrot cake topped with cream cheese frosting and a little icing carrot for decoration. It comes in two varieties, with nuts or without, and we got the version without. (I'm not a fan of nuts in my baked goods.)
The cake was very moist with a spicy flavor that was perfect in strength, neither too strong nor too weak. It had a nutty, carroty texture, and Tom (one of the owners) explained to us that they add shredded pineapple and coconut to the cake to increase the moisture content. You can't really taste the coconut or pineapple directly, but I bet that's where the sweet, moist flavor comes from. Unlike many carrot cakes, this one wasn't greasy or buttery. Awesome!
The frosting was super thick and creamy with an amazing cream cheese flavor that was very sweet, but not overly so. The frosting is well-matched to the cake, adding a rich (and yet somehow still refreshing) flavor to the cupcake. The frosting to cake ratio was spot on. There's not much else I can say here. This cupcake is sheer perfection.

The Original is made up of my all time favorite flavor combination -- vanilla cake topped with milk chocolate frosting. This cupcake gave off the most intoxicating aroma of sweet milk chocolate. Yum! After eating two perfect cupcakes from Cupcake Station, I was quite eager to taste their version of my favorite cupcake flavor. In retrospect, I wish I had eaten this cupcake first because my expectations were set extremely high after eating the amazing Strawberry Delight and What's up Doc.
The golden cake was moist and buttery with a vanilla flavor that was only very slightly sweet. The buttery flavor was noticeable first, and was slowly augmented with a vanilla taste. The sugary frosting was super thick and very sweet with a rich milk chocolate flavor. It was almost like slightly softened fudge. Delicious! The rough granules of the cake were more noticeable when eaten with the smooth frosting, and overall the cupcake had a buttery rich chocolate flavor. This was a solid vanilla chocolate cupcake, though I personally would have preferred a sweeter, softer cake to a heartier, buttery one.
